Self Employed Women’s Association (SEWA) and International Labour Organisation (ILO) are conducting a study on waste management in the city of Ahmedabad. As a part of the study, a survey of scrap shops and scrap dealers is being conducted from the 20th of May to the 5th of June, 2023. We are looking for interns to conduct the survey.

The 28th IUF Congress, held in Geneva from June 13th to 16th, 2023, marked a significant moment for the Self-Employed Women's Association (SEWA) and its 2.5 million members. During the congress, a resolution was passed to honor the late Shri Ela R. Bhatt, fondly known as Elaben, who founded SEWA in India. The resolution focused on achieving voice, visibility, and validation for women workers, particularly those in the informal economy.
